Changing Passwords:
Before you change your password, please note that the new password will work for email right away, but it will not work for wireless access or DHCP registration until the following day.
The easiest way to change your password (provided you know the current one) is to use the form available here.
Resetting Lost Passwords:
If you have lost your password, you can come to ArtSci Tech Support in the A&S Computing Center on the lower level of Eads Hall to have it reset Monday-Thursday 10am-7pm and Fridays 10am - 5pm. You will be required to show your WU ID. In many cases, ATS can reset passwords over the phone as well; 935-8077.
Here are some tips that may help you to remember your password:
- The login and password are case sensitive, so be sure to use upper and lowercase letters where appropriate.
- Some characters such as lowercase letter L and number1 (one), Capital letter O and number 0 (zero), and lowercase letter Q and lowercase letter A look very similar. If you have any of these characters in your password, try typing it with its look-alike instead.
- Passwords have between 6 and 8 characters
- At least one upper-case character, and one lower-case character
- At least one non-alpha character, such as a number and/or character such as: !,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,(,)
- You may not use the following characters: " , ' , ` , ~ , | , \ , / , < ,>
- The password will work over the campus network right away but modem passwords will not change until the next day, so if you get your internet access by dialing into the artsci modems, the password will not update for our modems until the following morning.
