Send a command through email to listserv@artsci.wustl.edu. It is important that you send mail to listserv from the email address where you want the list messages to be sent.

The command to send is: subscribe SYSTEM-L John Doe

Replace John Doe with your name. Here are examples, one using Thunderbird and one using Pine:

When you join a list, you are sent a little pamphlet. Do not discard it! Although they do look the same from a distance, the pamphlets are customised to the individual lists and do not contain the same information. You may need to refer to it when you have an administrative question about a mailing list.

You may leave the list at any time by sending a SIGNOFF command to: listserv@artsci.wustl.edu :

signoff SYSTEM-L

LISTSERV does not need your name for a signoff command, so there is no need to type it.
