- Open the TCP3270 link in Internet Explorer to access the ftp site to download the TCP3270. ( If you are using Internet Explorer 7, click View, Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer.) Right mouse click the Disk 1 folder and choose Copy to Folder and choose to save the folder to your desktop. Do the same for Disk 2 and Disk 3.
- Open the Disk 1 folder and run the install program by double-clicking the Setup.exe file from the disk1 directory.
- Take all the defaults during the install.
- Select the run TCP 3270 now from the final window.
- Type wumvs2.wustl.edu in the IP Host/Gateway. Make sure the Terminal Model is set to 3278 Model 2 (24x80) This is the top selection. Then click connect.
- Once inside the program, select Options => Session Profile from the top menu. Click on the display icon on the left and then select Convert Nulls to Blanks. Scroll down to General and select Type Ahead. On the right select Save, type FIS as the host, select Save current Font and Window Position and then click Save and create program icon. Scroll down to TCP3270 for Windows 95 and hit Enter.
- In the TCP3270 for Windows 95 that was created, right-mouse click the FIS icon and choose Send to => Desktop (create shortcut). Execute the program by double clicking the FIS shortcut icon on your desktop.
