If you are connecting a laptop or desktop computer to the wired network on campus, you will first need to register your MAC address for dhcp access to the network.

In the dorms: Residential Technology is responsible for the network connectons in campus housing. See the Student Technology Services page for more information and instructions for setting up your computer for Internet access. For wireless access your computer needs a wireless networking card. In your office: To connect to the campus network via ethernet (a wired connection), you will need a computer with an ethernet card and a registered MAC address (see explanation above). In addition, you will need Internet software tools such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer, and an email client (We recommend Mozilla Thunderbird) to access your ArtSci email inbox.
If you need assistance with an office network connection, contact your Departmental Support Representative. They will schedule an appointment to evaluate the network connection in your office.
