ArtSci accounts are disabled for a variety of reasons. Most often it is because the account exceeds the quota. Quotas are established based on the account holder's status at the University.
In most cases, we send 2 warning email messages informing an account holder that their account is over the size limit before it is disabled. The exception is in the case that an account is spreading viruses, running a program damaging to the other accounts on the server, or breaking the law.
To get your account re-enabled, you will need to come to the Arts & Sciences Computing Center on the lower level of Eads Hall to see a full time staff member between 9am and 5pm Monday-Friday.
If you are currently out of town, you can call the ArtSci Tech Support desk at (314)935-8077 at the same hours and please be prepared to answer a few questions to prove your identity.
