Located in the lower level of Eads Hall in room 007, the Humanities Digital Workshop is an open lab for multimedia digitization and production work. The lab offers workstations for document, image, and slide scanning; image editing; video editing; and audio recording and editing. (Note that the audio-editing setup includes what is to our knowledge the only sound booth on campus available for general use.) As host to the Arts & Sciences Computing Media Library, the HDW lends out A/V equipment such as digital still and video cameras and has a collection of foreign-language films and documentaries, educational videos, and audio materials available for checkout.
*Note: The Humanities Digital Workshop has reduced hours in the summer and when classes are not in session (Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm). The HDW is also closed on university holidays.
HDW computers may be reserved by calling (314) 935-5165 during business hours, by sending an email to hdw@artsci.wustl.edu, or by stopping in.
